If a meter tested at the request of a customer is found to be more than two percent fast, the deposit shall be refunded and the billing records will be adjusted. The billing adjustment shall be based on either the excess charges for the time service was rendered to the customer requesting the test, or for a period of six months, whichever shall be the lesser. The overpayment shall appear as a credit on the customer’s account, unless the customer requests a full refund. [Ord. 910 Art. 8, § 4, 2016; Ord. 878 Art. 8, § 4, 2015.]
