As used throughout this chapter, the following terms shall mean:

“Accessory dwelling unit (ADU)” means a residential housing unit that provides complete independent living facilities for one or more persons. For purposes of this chapter, ADUs shall be treated as apartments for the assessment of park SDCs as a multiple-family dwelling unit.

“Council” means the city council of the city of Talent.

“Dwelling unit” means a single set of living quarters designed for occupancy by one group of people who live together, except for hotel and motel units. As the term is used herein, all dwelling units are considered to be either single-family dwelling units or multiple-family dwelling units.

“Multiple-family dwelling unit” means any dwelling unit that is not a single-family dwelling unit. It includes a dwelling unit in an apartment, duplex, triplex, fourplex, or other building designed for or containing two or more attached dwelling units. It includes dwelling units in separate buildings on a single tax lot. The term also includes a space in a mobile home park.

“Park SDC” means the system development charge for the park system, as established in this chapter.

“Single-family dwelling unit” means a detached home on a separate tax lot containing one dwelling unit. [Ord. 791 Art. 2; Ord. 729 Art. 2.]
