A guarantee deposit with the utility billing department shall be retained on the customer’s account for two years. When an account is closed, or at the completion of two years of nondelinquent activity, whichever is first, the deposit will be applied to the customer’s account as a credit. All outstanding utility billing charges will be deducted from the deposit prior to a refund being issued when an account is closed. [Ord. 910 Art. 9, § 2, 2016; Ord. 878 Art. 9, § 2, 2015.]
