The city’s agreement with the Medford water commission (MWC) precludes the extension of water service outside the city limits or the UGB. Exceptions have been made for both the Fire District No. 5 and the School District with the consent of the MWC. The city council, as well as the Medford water commission, is required to approve such exceptions and they shall be limited to governmental agencies only.
