Before the city manager or city recorder forwards a recommendation of denial to the city council, notice to the applicant shall be given either personally or by registered or certified mail, postmarked no later than 10 working days prior to the meeting at which the matter will be considered. The notice shall:

A. State the time and place of the meeting;

B. Afford the opportunity for the applicant or an affected party to request a public hearing;

C. State the city manager’s or city recorder’s reasons for the recommendation of denial;

D. State that if the applicant desires a public hearing, the city manager or city recorder must receive notice in writing within 10 days of the date of notice of recommendation for denial. [Ord. 883 § 7, 2015; Ord. 863 § 7; Ord. 689 § 6.]
