For the purpose of issuing a warrant to search private property, in aid of the enforcement of any city ordinance, including inspections for compliance with ordinances which validly regulate the safety, condition and use of property, the municipal court shall have authority to issue such warrant upon a showing of probable cause, to the extent authorized by decisions of the Supreme Court of the United States and of the state of Oregon in their respective interpretations of the rights of citizens under the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
