The board of the tree commission shall consist of seven members, to be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the city council. No more than two members may be nonresidents of the city of Talent. Such nonresidents must live within the acknowledged urban growth boundary of the city. The mayor and chair of the planning commission are designated as ex officio members and may sit in the meeting with the commissioners and take part in discussion but shall have no vote. No mem-ber of the commission shall receive compensation for service on the commission. [Ord. 590 § 3.]
