The community tree commission is created as an advisory commission to the Talent city council. The commission shall consider as its initial responsibility the drafting of a tree ordinance for the city of Talent. This chapter will serve as the guideline for the protection and regulation in the planting and care of shade and ornamental trees and shrubs in those public areas not already subject to county or state jurisdiction. The commission will also be expected to serve in the guidance, support and augmentation of other types of civic arbor endeavors. [Ord. 590 § 2.]
